A movement off to the left catches my eye and I notice a foot disappear into a shimmering service that looks like a corner of the wall down the alley I think to myself " A new power walking through walls ...HUMMM"
Upon investigating the slight shimmering of the wall I find that it's a holograph projection hiding a narrow entrance into a underground passage... where this leads I will find out ...
" touching my CEI -- Operator please track my movements and report my where-a-bouts to the Justice league patrol in the area ... If I go off tracking for any length of time please "
After entering the passage I notice the slight smell of ozone ... " i know now that the passage is hiding a portal to ... I will soon find out "
" Entering the portal I am ported to a hallway with one-way glass on the left "
" Ok its behind one of the walls of the Unobtainium Piezoelectric generator rooms ... but witch one there are hundreds "
" All ways suspected that " Professor Cornish " had secret passages ways build into the JUSTICE ... for his followers to use for their evil purposes ... what was that guy I saw going to do in here ??? "
" Messing around with the Crystallized Unobtainium Piezoelectric cells can only cause a small area temporary electrical shutdown there's got to be more to it than a power outage ..."

Centuries. It had been centuries lost in a bleak ocean of stars. A calamity that claimed earth sent mankind on a voyage into the unknown. The frantic shift in energy that this event created was blinding. Not only was I unable to follow humanity, I was unable to locate them. With my senses overloaded and my soul fading, I found myself completely alone.
Though my kind give no second thought to the passage of time, I felt I was an exception. The decades spent in human company gave me an appreciation for structure and balance, concepts that were once alien to me. There were moments when I almost considered myself some kind of man. Cherished moments. Moments I believed were forever gone.
I'm not sure precisely how long I drifted, or how far, but eventually I was reunited with those fire-hearted souls. The wraiths from my home dimension would never understand the depth of the human spirit, its perserverence and strength of will. Truly, they are a species who long to survive. Not like my own; parasites who thrive on decay and manipulation.
As difficult as it was to believe, I was once again summoned to mankind through a portal. This time, unlike arriving on a planet, I landed inside a giant vessel. Even more miraculously, the mage who summoned me was a direct descendant of the mage with whom I shared friendship on earth. He seemed eager to introduce me to what he described as a new city aboard humanity's new home.
What a home it is. The souls I'm encountering shine like diamonds in fire. Their energy charges me in ways I haven't experienced before. There appears to be an increased number of gifted men and women, many of whom are volunteering to build this amazing future with what power they possess. Those who do not show signs of obvious brilliance are given equally important roles within this society.
I must continue here as on earth. No, I must progress, become a more advanced entity capable of integrating with mankind entirely. As I look across the artificial skyline, my aura swells with electromagnetic glee. This city, these people, they remind me so much of earth. They remind me so much of life.

Me, "You really don't like them do you?"
Sugar and Spice, "Nope, not a bit".
Me, "one day you will have to tell me why."
Sugar and Spice, "if you survive that long ancient one."
Me, "Ha ha."
I pause for a moment and say, "So do you want to kill the mercs? I never liked the last group of Mercs I ran into. You said these guys are called Yesuk's?
Sugar and Spice, "Yekus."
I attempted the word again, "Yurkes"
I could hear a little sigh in her voice as she corrected me again, "Yekus, no 'R' and more emphasis on the 'K', Ye - kus."
It was a tongue twister but I think I got it this time and said, "Got it, Yeskus"
Sugar looks at me a moment and says, "Perfect."
Me, "Yeskus, so is the kus part short for cousin? Are they a family organization?"
Sugar looks at me again, smiles, and says, "Why yes they are a family organization, and kus does indeed stand for cousin."
Sugar got this twinkle in her eye and smiled even brighter as she she began to regale me with of bit of historical information about what she began calling 'The Yes Cousin mercenaries'. Sugar obviously loves a to talk so I let her, and she continued to share her story, Besides I kind of liked having the full and undivided attention of such a beautiful woman.
She told me that people started calling them 'Yes cous' to shorten the name. She happily answered any question I had with some truly outlandish things that got more outlandish with each of my questions about the Yes Cousin mercenary group, and enjoying the telling even more with each outlandish fact she truly loves to spin a yarn. She described the 'yes cousin's as a truly strange group. one can only wonder if fact is stranger than fiction.
I knew she was telling me a whopper of a story, but I stood there and nodded in all the right places, and asked questions as I drank in her eyes.
While I could watch and listen to her all day I heard a commotion down the hallway, so I interrupted her when she was explaining their cloning and mating practices.
"Hey Sugar I think some of the Yes Cousins are heading up here." I said
Sometimes You Feel Like a Tank, Sometimes You Don't

I engage SS and open the door and toss in a smoke grenade ... and close the door and speed out of the way and stand near the building edge ... I watch as the door and the wall that the door is attached to starts to shake and in a instant hear a ... " fizzzz / POP " .... the door and wall starts shrinking into a Portal exposing the ambush to the open ... pulling the pin on a " worm whole generator " I drop the ball into the now exposed Promethean's strike team center as I speed past the ambush ... moving down the hall I stop and and watch as 7 Promethean's and a portal gun disappear ... the programmed exit of the worm whole will really get there attention ... space behind the unobtainium engines gets quite warm ...
Heading down the hall I pass a stationed " Promethean Radio LT." calling for reinforcements ... but he only gets 1/2 the message to his buddy's on the lower floors when I strike with my " Swift Sword " cutting the radio in 1/2 ... along with him ... they will be up here soon ... hopefully drawing the attention form the young heroes in the middle of the building ... they will probably just sit around talking until the BAD-ees pass
Its going to be quite a fight ... I'm glad I got a goodly supply of " Med. inspers " that will complement my re/gen.

I have never thought of that ... I head over to the main entrance and find that the entrance door have been blocked ... so that is what those Two were up too ... I have allways thoughts to myself if the front entrance is bared ... then the best entrance would be the roof ... I'll have to reevaluate my thoughts on entering a building ...
I hit my arm control and rocket to the roof lvl where i see the roof door is open ... " that is the best entrance to get behind the Nag's while they are being Distracted by the young heroes ... hopefully ill be able to team up with then in time to " LvL Down " and help with the building infestation...

I feel in my gut that there are a lot of "New low-lvl Heroes " wandering over toward that side of the city toward the higher lvl " Science Park "
... and taxing the Hospital resources and personal with their over zealous enthusiasm to stop the invasions of the " FHS Justice "
As I arrive near " Justice Inn Resorts Towers " I now have the honer to choose who to offer my help to ... there are soo many to chose from ... and then " Down lvl " to their lvl ... an watch stress flow away from their persona's with such thankfulness... this makes the job even that much more rewarding ...
" Hay there Young hero " ...

She had been excited to receive an invitation to join the Justice Corps and help out the bruised and battered heroes when they came in to see her after an altercation with various enemy groups. They arrived, she did her special 'healing thing' and they went away again.
They were grateful, of course, but it was getting very old very fast and Alice was growing restless. She wanted to be out in the field, not cooped up in a hospital. She suspected the reason was her age. At only 14 when she initially joined she thought her mother had refused to sign the release documents they needed. She had been stuck there in the hospital for three years now and was bored.
"I'll be 18 in a few months," she reminded herself as yet another broken 'hero' turned up wanting to be mended. "Then I'll show them."
She lay her hands on the hero's damaged leg and made it new again in just a few minutes. With her experience, she didn't even have to think about what she was doing. It was automatic, leaving her thoughts to wander. "Most of them can't even fly," she chuckled quietly to herself as the hero thanked her and left.
Her memory of an encounter with a strange woman claiming to be from the Red Sigil had faded, since she had made no further attempt to contact the girl. Alice had had no more opportunities to make use of her 'dark' powers. She wasn't sure whether to be relieved or disappointed.
Occasionally, Alice could feel the presence of something deep within her, biding its time; something she couldn't quite get a hold of. She suspected that, whatever it was, it was the source of those dark powers. The girl felt it stirring within her as her thoughts reached it. She tried probing at it but it ignored her attempts to communicate with it.
Every now and then she bought the subject up with her mother but, strangely, the woman refused to discuss the group or those dark powers, preferring to stick to mundane subjects.
Alice sighed, her thoughts interrupted by the doors flying open and another uniformed hero entering. A broken arm, nothing challenging this time then. She smiled at him and went to work...

I'm guessing a 475 year Cryogenic sleep did more than take my power of flight. I move to the next group and lay in on them with a vengeance. I spot higher level thugs in the other large park and head over. I clean out the park of all the thugs and spot more to my far left. I hit level 3 on my first group. I look over and see a building that say's "ship security". I did notice water on the other side of the city. I find it odd that they would have ship security so far from the water. I run into a few robots along with the other thugs. I find them easier to deal with because I don't have to worry about killing them and don't hold back. I finally clear the park and ding level 4.
I look over toward the city and see a sign saying Financial District. I head over but it seems i upset a few of the thugs, and pick up an ambush as soon as hit the high rises, my bad luck I also seemed to pick up a few of the local thugs too. I eat all my reds and blues and my sole purple, and drop 6 of my attackers. but my health is down to a sliver and fading fast. I get knocked to the ground and things start fading. I see some sparkling in front of my eyes and I wake up in a hospital.
I see two nurses nearby, One is drop dead gorgeous and had a beautiful smile. The other nurse however was mine. I wish I could say she was beautiful and had a wonderful disposition that makes you want to get hurt and go to the hospital, but I can't. Her name tag says Nurse Kratchet. she has one red eye, and frankly I couldn't tell you the color of the other one because when you look at her you can't seem focus on her face. I think it's a self defense system built into the human psyche. I don't want to call her ugly, because over the years I've know ugly people and I don't want to insult their memory. She has a high pitched piercing voice and when she talks it feels like someone is sticking needles into my eardrums. Seriously someone should weaponize it. Her disposition is a wonder as in I can't help but wonder how she got a job taking care of the sick and wounded. I will give her this she makes me never want to go to a hospital again. While my eyes refused to focus on her, my nose couldn't help but do so. I believe she had hard boiled eggs and Limburger cheese for lunch, the odor follows her around. I hold my breath and quickly exit my room while she punctures my ears rattling on about a ship.
I escape the hospital and look back toward the Financial District with revenge on my mind. and a bit of caution. I don't want to end up at the hospital and have to deal with Nurse Kratchet again.
