My observations so far. Followed by Suggestions.
1. Costuming has 3 Color tabs, but a lot of Costume Parts do not accept Color Choice for all 3.
Suggestion: Please adjust the Color Tab List for those that are not tri-colorable.

2. Hitting the targets seems to need more Visual Effects.
Suggestion: It would be more Eye Appealing if, when we hit the target, it either reacted to the hit, or at least highly visible animation/spark popped from/on it.

3. AOE Cone fire for my Devastator... Is above the heads of the targeted group, regardless if I'm standing still, or dodging and keeping aim-point on target area. Does movement of the player, affect that?
Suggestion: Flatten the Cone, to an Arc-of-Fire centered on primary target.

4. Click to Go To, would be another good feature for Interactive Items, as Loot, Doors, etc.

5. Locking UI Powers Bar To myself, it is slightly annoying to have to reseat my Powers Bar, every time a Mission Instance Loads.
Suggestion; Option for players to set UI and save it to their liking. Or Option to Lock at least the UI Powers Bar in place together, as a Stack, or Side-by-side.

Thank you for reporting the bug. We had another similar report and pushed a patch to fix it probably shortly after your report.

Hi, game is unplayable for me, when I destroy an object the game crashes... a box pops up with something about Nullptr and NiagaraComponent?

A new bug appeared yesterday that prevented players from playing this mission. Players reported being stuck on loading screens. This has been fixed in the overnight patch.  

About those Loading Screens Issues. I am seeing lately, upwards of 45 Seconds Black Screen, as Still Shots, Missions, and entering Clickable Entrances/Exits.

That said, Suggestion(s) ahead... 1. Please add more Detailed Text Descriptions on all Settings Tab data, for Mouse Hover over item/text.
2. Collision Model upgrade for destroyed debris to be knocked out of the way, or climbed over would be beyond cool.
3. Color Wheel for Costume and Character editing.
4. A detailed Video of Housing, with Voice Narration that shows how to place objects on Tables and shelves

This issue has been fixed. If your character is still unable to play these missions, please contact us so we can free your character.

For first run through of the demo I played a tank with unobtainium luck and street fighting power sets. Played character to level 10. Character was generated in a previous playtest, but not actually played.

1. Character started with all possible luck powers showing in powers tab. These could be brought down to the power bar and clicked, but powers that the character did not have would not activate. After leveling to level 2 and visiting a trainer, additional untrained powers disappeared from powers tab. I tried to recreate this and was unsuccessful. May have had to do with when character had been gernerated.

2. In melee combat, would have a string of misses when powers were used. This occurred after successful attacks had been made. Would persist until I repositioned my avatar.

3. When entering a new instance or zone, a image of the area being loaded flashes onscreen before going black and then fading in.

4. During "ambush" mission, mobs would not spawn when device was activated at any of the four points. I still recieved credit for completing each step.

5. Some issues with object placement. This was more in the hazard zone with the alien flora.

Going to try other archetypes/powersets to see if anything else comes to mind.

Will write up separate comments in other thread for overall impressions.

Been trying out a melee character for the first time and it's a bit frustrating to be honest. Maybe because I'm used to ranged characters. The problem I'm having is the insistence on using tab targeting when you have no idea what it's actually going to select as a target. When there's only a couple of mobs onscreen it works but when you're surrounded, like on the last two missions we've been doing, it seems to target things that aren't even visible and you end up standing around like a lemon instead of actually hitting anything. If we have to use tab targeting for melee, it really needs to prioritise what's directly in front.

Access to Missions 2 and 6 has been restored.

A new bug appeared yesterday that prevented players from playing this mission. Players reported being stuck on loading screens. This has been fixed in the overnight patch.

* In the Echolocation mission, it says 'Ambush' on the outdoor locations but nothing happens, it seems to save them all up for the hospital then, if you're not careful, you die in half a second from a massive alpha strike!
* Auto-targetting is a bit iffy, if it decides you can't see your target, it never tries again when you try to attack, it forces you to tab target
* If you're flying indoors close to the floor, every little bump on the floor shoots you up to the roof, if you're superspeeding and hit a bump, you jump in the air and almost come to a halt
*Minor issue - typo in character creator, "Ship Secuirty Shirt"

And a few suggestions for QOL improvements:
* An exit button at the top of the screen when a mission is complete but we don't want to exit when that huge dialog pops up for some reason
* A run function for indoor use that is somewhere between superspeed (which is too fast) and normal run (which is painfully slow)
* Something to indicate that a target is in range
* Some sort of fog-of-war function on indoor maps so we can see what we've explored

Overall, it's looking good 🙂  

This is a great set of comments, thanks Lunawisp. I especially like that you are providing specific items for improving the combat experience in the game.

Thank you for your report. The first bug appeared yesterday and we patched a fix overnight. Please let us know if you still experience this issue.

This is the first report we get of a chat issue, and we cannot replicate it. Could you please let us know if you encounter it again?

I've submitted a lot of bugs with /bug in game, so I hope you guys got those.

Aside from that, general feedback:

- Players should spawn on the other side of the first door instead of loading into the game and immediately having to right click a door to get another loading screen.
- Animations are jarring. Particularly, strafing and landing from a jump.
- It felt odd, being in the future, and having to run back to mission givers. We can't even facetime?
- Playing with someone was a struggle. He was in a mission and I invited him but I couldn't join him. After, we couldn't "set a mission", so we started my mission. He didn't get the question tracker information at all so I'm assuming he also didn't get credit.
- I'd consider giving more flavor text / descriptions to inventory items.
- The environment lighting looks very flat.
- Some ambience noises were jarring. Sometimes humming was just too much. Other times, ambience was non existent and then suddenly very loud.
- Cursor movement speed is ridiculous, only dwarfed by how your character turns faster than the camera!
- I saw a lot of reflective surfaces (thinking of all of the pipes in the room behind the primary quest giver) that seemed totally unnecessary. They were the cleanest most polished pipes you ever did see.
- Interacting with "glowies" felt hollow. Missed sounds for those.

If you already had Ship of Heroes in your Steam Library, go ahead and play it as normal. This will give you access to the demo content. Steam does not allow players who have a game to access a demo. So we found a way around this to give access to our supporters.

If this is your first experience with Ship of Heroes in Steam, you should see a button on the right, in the store page.
