-a ball object that can actually roll around. physics responds to "being kicked" if a player runs into it. Add a "net" or "goal" object, and you have immersive gameplay, heroes can stay fit playing soccer in their base or whatever.
-an NPC that can be set to walk a path or patrol, even take different poses/spell effects. Basically what we had in the quest with the wizards duelling.
-Customize what shows on a TV screen or picture frame (creates an opportunity for modular "graphic" cosmetics that can be applied to the existing props)
-Petting your pets :3 good boys deserve scritches
Love all of these suggestions 🙂

Well, a NPC where you can enter a text which appears when other players click it.
You could do so many things with that. Creating a husband/wife/children for your home, servants or helpers for your guild base. Each of them with thier own edited little story to tell. And the best of it you could change the text whenever you want. It also would be cool to name them and have some small edit options for thier look.
Seconding this, I think I had the most fun putting NPCs in to interact with the decorations, made the place feel more alive. Would be nice if they could take positions / interact with objects, similar to some of the NPCs in the quest who sat at a conference table.
I think adding a layer of interactivity to any object would make it more fun. Some examples:
-a ball object that can actually roll around. physics responds to "being kicked" if a player runs into it. Add a "net" or "goal" object, and you have immersive gameplay, heroes can stay fit playing soccer in their base or whatever.

As for new objects/props, I feel like the plain housing and sci fi vibes are covered, but we could use some more "dark fantasy" and "neo-medieval" stuff. We have lots of melee power sets and hardly anything resembling a weapon rack or sword. Trophies from enemies are a great idea too.

We currently have a greater NPC for whom we can enter a text that will appear when you click on the NPC.

What have you dreamed of placing in a base and never been able to?

I had a long post explaining the different things I wanted in different games, but after a few entries I realized they all come down to the same thing:Good integration with the rest of the game.
I want to be able to feel like the space I create exists as part of the wider game world in some way. Be that through tying it into missions or quests I create, having a visitor log, reflecting my achievements, being able to recruit NPCs, or being attacked by enemies. I want it to be both *my base* but also connected to and recognised by the world of Ship of Heroes.
Thank you for articulating this opinion so clearly. It is definitely our intent to integrate the base with the rest of the game. First, we have to have a base building tool to integrate, and that is what we have been focusing on first. Our devs are starting to work on deeper integration with the rest of the game, along the lines of what you are outlining. Buff and rez stations have been created. Base visiting is being worked on, and it will be possible to craft items in your base and for your base. I tested the first attempt at base visiting last night and it worked. I know our devs are racing to perfect it before the next Beta.
Perhaps the most important thing to realize is that we will be seeking ideas continuously and implementing those that seem attractive, so integration will deepen with time.
