Body Types.Heard an author say it best: "we write about characters we want to BE or want to DATE*".
MMO players are extremely similar. City of Heroes did a lot (not everything) right but one thing they nailed was leaning into super-hero comic book physiques. Yes, yes. yes. Anatomically questionable females and comically chiseled bodybuilder males. That's what I want to play/be/watch and I'm not alone.
Costume variation? Yes yay. Cool particle effects? Sure. Great stories? Bring 'em on! But 'woke' super-moms and mediocre sprint-cyclist dads? Not gonna happen. Sure have those options available, I have concepts that fit them.
If the slider bars don't go where they need to, this game will die and we all know it, I'm just here to say it.
Do I want an updated CoH clone? Wouldn't be the worst thing but no: I want to feel like a super-hero. I want to kick az like one, be admired (or feared) like one, and look like one.

Welcome to our community! Did you play in the recent event? Did you get a chance to try the character creator?
It sounds like you are thinking about the silhouette of the character, how muscular he/she is. Do females have very attractive figures, can these figures be exaggerated? Fortunately, the answer is yes to both.
Early in the design of the character creator tool (CCT), feedback from our supporters was used to design the features and the ranges in the features in the CCT. Supporters told us what they wanted, and we gave it to them. We ran many polls and had several Alphas and Betas on the CCT, then included the CCT in every public event we have had since, once or twice each year. The evolution of the CCT reflects comments received during all of those.
The male and female models are designed to be heroic. They are custom models to reflect heroic proportions, not the standard Unreal Engine models. Many body morphs are available for the player to design what they want. The Ship of Heroes CCT really gives more options, better options, and more freedom to the player than any comparable tool in any MMORPG. Even the recent addition of 114 styled heads guides character creation but does not restrict the choices to these 114. The number of possible variations is infinite, and the same is true for body proportions.
We encourage you to participate in future events to experience for yourself as images found online necessarily reflect the preferences of the creator, but not necessarily your taste. We will soon have another event, and we hope that you use this to get a firsthand experience. And if during this time, you feel you need some help getting what you want, feel free to reach us through any of the contact forms on our website.
