Auras in Ship of Heroes
The number of auras available has just increased by 500%, going from the original 5 to 30. This video illustrates just a few of the new auras in action.
When we first started showing off the character creator in Ship of Heroes, we promised that we would make it bigger and better as the game evolved. And we’ve kept that promise – adding standard faces, many, many new costumes, and other features.
The Beta Club is a great place to show off your looks
There are auras to satisfy every taste. Some are subtle with a gentle movement; others surround the character in a fast moving and wide reaching whirlwind. Combining the aura with a cleverly selected costume can enhance its visual impact and help you tell your character story visually.

Characters can look good with and without auras. It all depends on what story you want to tell with each avatar you create. But having a hero that can appear to be constantly giving fiery bursts, or one that is surrounded by swirling energy particles moving in multiple different patterns can enhance your visual storytelling, or really help your roleplay.

Help others discover Ship of Heroes
Maybe you and a couple of buddies want to create characters with the same aura, and a similar look, and role play as a trans-dimensional group that has come to the Justice to help mankind! There are unlimited possibilities….
Of course, a fiery aura can also look more ominous.
Technical Notes
1. Auras are found in the character creator, on the Appearance tab, at the bottom of the Body settings.
2. Auras have color settings that can be customized. Most have two, the simpler auras have one.
3. Auras will dissipate a few seconds after you begin to superspeed or fly, then recover when you stop moving quickly.
4. Auras can be changed in the character creator at any time.

New Character Faces for Heroes
The Ship of Heroes character creator (CCT) offers an amazing depth of customization. You can readily create unique characters using face and body morphs, and through a mix-and-match costume system. And now you’ll have access to beautiful presets to start from without losing any of the freedom of the CCT’s morphs.
